Daniel Wavrin (Cheesemaker/Founder)
Daniel J. Wavrin is founder of Artisan Service Group, head cheese maker at Ferndale Farmstead, and founder of his personal line of cheeses ‘Daniels Artisan’.
Growing up, Daniel enjoyed working on the dairy especially in the crop fields, knowing he wanted to return to the farm in some capacity after going to school. In 2010, Daniel was off to California Polytechnic University to study Agricultural Systems Management. Shortly after starting school, Daniel found his interest outside of the classroom, cheesemaking. Thus began a journey of navigating and learning how to bring to life his vision of a branded family cheese company.
His hope is to inspire other artisans to pursue living their dream while always striving to Keep it Real.
